One of my favorite parts of working on Seymour’s story has been collaborating with some truly wonderful people. I’m deeply grateful to artist Caleb Peregrine for his beautiful illustrations. It was such a pleasure to work with Caleb, and his paintings brought Seymour to life! More recently, through releasing Seymour’s story in Spanish, I’ve had the great pleasure of working with Zoila (Lita) Ardiles, who generously translated the original story into Spanish, and Carissa Schlafer of Carissa’s Editorial Services, who did excellent work copyediting the Spanish version. I first wrote about Seymour in 2005 or earlier but wasn’t sure what to do with his story, so I had to set him aside. All these years later, I’m so excited to say Seymour is finally getting to meet new family and friends!
